Suzannah Bennett, Chair since September 2024.
Rick Green, Past Chair since September 2024. Rick and his family began their life in Peterborough in 2003. Shortly after moving here, he became involved with local not-for-profit agencies such as the CCRC, Canadian Cancer Society and currently Kairos. Joining the Kairos Board of Directors in 2018, he hoped to bring his learnings from work in the corporate world to the benefit of Kairos. Even more so he hopes to gain more knowledge of not-for-profit housing in Peterborough and help those in need of shelter in the community.
Donna Ball, Past Secretary. She has served on the Board since September 2013. Donna is a retired elementary school principal and course instructor at Trent University. Over the last nine years Donna has witnessed both the struggles and success stories of Kairos mothers and children. Safe and stable housing provides a good basis to raise children and she believes that Kairos Homes allows their tenants the opportunity to live in such an environment. Donna particularly likes the fact that Kairos looks after the whole being rather than just putting a roof over their heads.
Su Musclow is a retired elementary school principal and former course instructor at Trent University. Her strong belief that affordable housing is essential for all members of the community, is why she has been a long time supporter of Kairos. In 2011, Su became both a member of the Board of Directors and the Community Development Committee. Su has served as the Chair / Past Chair of Kairos, and is currently the Secretary and filling in as Vice-Chair. She also serves as Board member and Treasurer of the Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network, which initially purchased the former home of the Sisters of St. Joseph and then turned it over to the then newly formed Board of The Mount Community Centre. This not-for-profit organization has redeveloped the space into affordable apartments, and Su has served as its Treasurer since its beginning.
