Typical Community Development Christmas Work

                                KAIROS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE- 2024

No one can deny the rising cost of groceries, but incomes for our families have not increased to allow for the extra special things we all like to enjoy at Christmas.  The Kairos Community Development Committee decided that a “Christmas Food Basket” filled with yummy things was the right thing to do.  Along with Walmart Gift Cards, Restaurant cards for a special family meal out, and the usual tin of homemade holiday cookies, each family received a basket which contained pancake mix, maple syrup, 1 lb of butter, small Schneider’s ham, link of Kielbasa, block of cheese, box of Ritz crackers, Stove Top Stuffing, cranberries, pickles & olives, Clementine oranges, a tin of hot chocolate, peppermint candy ice cream, Christmas napkins, Christmas Party Crackers, and a selection of chocolate treats.  We shopped wisely, and were able to get most items on sale.

None of these Christmas/holiday gifts would be possible without the generosity of our Kairos supporters.  Sincere thanks to you!  You know who you are!
