Funding

Since 2001, Kairos has received funding through the City of Peterborough’s Social Housing portfolio. This subsidy was negotiated when the province transferred responsibility for social housing to the municipalities. Tenant rents and the City subsidy must cover the cost of maintaining the properties. Any of the extras that Kairos provides for its families comes from fundraising and donations.
